It’s the summer holidays and kids have long hot days of freedom ahead. Some of the lucky ones will have treehouses where imagination can run riot and adventure take wing. Here is one I designed with woodsman Ben Law. It can be re-purposed for adult use once the kids are grown up.

Depending on the location and height, tree houses may well need planning consent. Indeed, I had a small job last year getting retrospective consent for a small tree house used by two very small boys. It was so small that I had to crawl through it to measure up for the planning drawings.
